Our Test Process Assessment is an unbiased evaluation of
your company’s methods, tools, practices, organizational
structure, and environment used to test a software product /
project. It is designed to help IT organizations benchmark
their practices with industry standard models and frameworks
like TPI, TMM, or TMMI. The objective of an assessment is to
identify the highest-priority areas for improvement and to
recommend a step-by-step plan for making those improvements.
The scope and formality of the assessment will depend on
your organization’s size and needs.
The
logic behind our assessment is to guide an organization to
focus on sustained improvement leading to defect prevention
in alignment with the state of art practice in the industry.
Firstly, we evaluate the organization’s capabilities
vis-à-vis the industry best practice using a reference
framework. Initial impetus is to bring the organization’s
capability at par with the recommended industry best
practice. In the second stage, we align the practice to
create a sustained differentiation, and build a culture of
continuous improvement. This is enabled through process
definition, training, implementation, and building
structured interventions for ensuring continuous
improvement. With this approach, we build capability and
capacity required for the organization to demonstrate and
take benefit of the future best practice envisaged.
ETI provides assurance and assessment services to measure
the maturity of an organization's Verification and
Validation processes against Software Engineering
Institute's, CMM® Integrated (CMMI®). Specific to Testing,
and QA, ETI also supports assessments against the reference
framework of Test Process Improvement (TPI); and TMMi from
TMMI Foundation. The assessment primarily covers 04 Testing
domains, 11 Testing Sub Domains, 40 Focus Improvement Areas,
and 213 practices for Testing. The process assessment
framework is aligned to TMMI, CMMI, TPI, and TMM standards.
A typical assessment follows three steps:
